While most rates of cancer continue to decrease, oncologists express concern that rates of uterine cancer continue to rise, and this trend disproportionately affects Black women. Dr. Casey Cosgrove, gynecologic oncologist at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center-James Cancer Hospital & Solove Research Institute, and his team are conducting a research study to look at how DNA/RNA-level drivers of this disease differ between Black and white women.

Grateful and honored to celebrate receiving the Structural Empowerment Award from our 2024 Ohio State Health System’s Nursing Excellence Fair with Tara Francis and our 7 Brain and Spine Team! Tara, a charge nurse who has elevated into nursing leadership, was instrumental as we began to understand bottlenecks, variation and areas to provide support.
