This #O6Afterschool Teacher Spotlight shines on Ms. Shauntee Pressley, who serves as a Main Street Elementary School of Arts & Leadership guidance counselor during the day and is making a tremendous impact in her first year working in the O6 Afterschool program. Ms. Pressley holds an SC Read to Succeed literacy certification and plays a vital role in the O6 Afterschool Intervention Lab, where she uses her expertise to support students through the Lexia and DreamBox programs. Thanks to her leadership, Main Street Elementary School of Arts & Leadership now has the highest program usage in the district. Her personalized interventions in both literacy and math help ensure that students are on the path to success, and her dedication to their growth is truly remarkable. We contniue to pray for the linemen who are working extrememly hard to restore power after #Helene. The Bureau of Labor Statistics projects that employment for electrical power-line installers and repaimen is exepected to grow faster than the average for all occupations between 2023 - 2033. It's an excellent career path that students are being introduced to through a virtual reality (VR) platform the Original Six is offering middle school students who participate in our #O6Afterschool program.
