💡 Extensive stakeholder feedback on new and cost-free e-learning on HREDD!   We are excited to give updates on our self-paced, interactive, and comprehensive web-based learning, developed by The RBH Network and its member organisations. This training will empower suppliers to navigate #HREDD and related legislation (e.g., #LkSG, #CSDDD).   Key Facts on the e-learning: ✅ Country- and sector-specific content addressing local needs and challenges ✅ Translated into 10+ languages (English, French, Spanish, Turkish, Serbian, Arabic, Mandarin, Khmer, Bangla, Vietnamese and Urdu) ✅ Available for free on @atingi.org from spring 2025   🤝 4 feedback sessions took place with various stakeholders, to give valuable insights and feedback for the course. 🚵♀️ RBH Tunisia information day: Raising awareness on human rights and environmental due diligence (HREDD) in Tunisia   On 26 September 2024, the RBH Tunisia informed 83 stakeholders from the Tunisian Sahel regions (Sousse and Monastir), mainly from the private sector (70 suppliers) but also the ministry of employment, the ministry of social affairs and different organs of utica such as the chamber of women entrepreneurs about the following topics:   🤝 The mission, role and services of the newly established RBH Tunisia. ⚖️ Background on the new due diligence legislations coming from the EU and Germany and how they impact the private sector in Tunisia. 📜 Presentation of best practises how codes of conducts and auditing systems relate to the new legislations. 📣 Sancella Tunisie, a company that specializes in the manufacturing and distribution of hygiene products, shared best practises on how to set up an action plan on HREDD. The event, which also provided us with the opportunity to listen to the activities and projects carried out by the #OECD globally and locally in this field, and to come together with different actors from the business and civil society in a workshop, ended with an interesting panel titled “The Way Forward: Opportunities & Challenges for Turkish Business to Implement Due Diligence”. Lena Diesing, Sera Üner, Hayri Türkmen and Çağdaş Hemşinlioğlu also shared the work of their companies and institutions in this field in the panel. CALL FOR INPUT ON CS3D OPEN QUESTIONS In the Parliament, the CS3D is over and done with. However, companies and other stakeholders keep asking us about clarifications on parts of the text or hint at problems that are not addressed by the Directive. Some questions we can help with, others need to be addressed in the implementation and in the guidelines. As the process for drawing up guidelines will still take a while, we are asking for your input: what hurdles are you experiencing with regards to CS3D? what should the guidelines address? Where is more legal clarification needed? Please send your input to greta.koch@ep.europa.eu We will collect these issues and submit them to the responsible contacts in the Commission and the Member States in order to clarify these points in the implementation.

📣😀International norms and EU regulations mandate that companies respect #HumanRights in their supply chains and act with #DueDiligence to prevent or mitigate abuse. But how can we actually elevate worker voices and increase supply chain transparency?     💡 At the UN Responsible Business and Human Rights Forum in Bangkok UNDP B+HR, GIZ aimed to provide answers to this question, together with SOMO. The session “From Silence to Solutions: Elevating Worker Voices and increasing Supply Chain Transparency in the Electronics and Garment sector in Asia” introduced two approaches:    1️⃣ 😁 A methodology on supply chain information and transparency   2️⃣ 😄 #LessonsLearned on worker access to complaint mechanisms    Key findings are:  🏹 Grievance mechanism and access to remedy require investment in long term processes of dialogue and real worker representation and worker voice to make them work  🏹 A robust grievance mechanism means all parties trust and use it without fear of retaliation in place  🏹 Risks associated with shifting supply chains are foreseeable with meaningful due diligence and preventable with changes in brand policy   🏹 Workers' active postings on social media platforms can link labour violation cases in supplier factories with international brands, even in a more restrictive internet environment like China    🙏 Thank you to all panellists Tina Rogers, munysovann preap, Joshua Rosenzweig, Aidan Chau, Tanida Disyabut and participants    👉More information about the session and the speakers: https://lnkd.in/e8dnNQud    #HumanRights #SupplyChain #WorkersRights #SOMO #GIZ #IGS  Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH
