"Walking food tours—or food tours of any kind—are becoming more popular, and it’s easy to see why. We booked The Tour Guy’s Trastevere Local Food Tour in Rome and we not only got our fill of several different types of food, but we also got a historical tour of the Trastevere neighborhood. The history of food in Rome is already interesting enough, but our local tour guide also pointed out buildings and piazzas we wouldn’t have looked twice at or known the stories of otherwise." Thank you Alani Vargas for including three of our tours - including our fan-favorite Trastevere Food Tour - in your "Best Things to do in Rome" guide. As we navigate our own career paths, let's take inspiration from the Tower of London. Consider the role of the Yeoman Warders, otherwise known as "Beefeaters." Established in 1485 by Henry VII, these guards were originally the monarch's elite bodyguards, a role of utmost importance and danger. Fast forward to today, and the Yeoman Warders have adapted their role for the modern era – they're now primarily tour guides and historians, guardians of stories rather than of royal persons. Like the Yeoman Warders, our value lies not just in our current role, but in our ability to evolve and tell our professional story in new and engaging ways! https://lnkd.in/gaXYvQmu

Have you ever worried about leaving a project unfinished? Before you beat yourself up, consider this: what if your "unfinished" work becomes one of the most famous landmarks in the world? Enter Antoni Gaudí and his masterpiece, the Sagrada Família in Barcelona, Spain. 🇪🇸 This architectural wonder embodies the intersection of art, faith, and innovation that defines Gaudí's legacy. Construction began in 1882 and is slated for completion in 2026, a century after Gaudí's passing. Despite being unfinished, it attracts millions of visitors annually, driving tourism and the local economy. The project showcases the power of long-term vision and perseverance in creating lasting impact. So, the next time you're stressing about an unfinished project, remember Gaudí. Your work-in-progress might just be your greatest legacy. https://lnkd.in/dkfFzju5

When you're taking a guided tour, the guide is an essential part of the equation. A good guide can make your experience on a tour the most memorable part of your trip. But on the flip side, an unfavorable experience may do just the opposite. So what should you do if you have a negative experience with a tour guide? Our CEO Sean P Finelli sat down with Fodor's Travel to discuss what traveler's should keep in mind if they're having a negative experience on a tour: "I’d encourage travelers to remember that tour guides are just people at the end of the day. People who are extremely passionate about what they do. It’s not easy to get a license to be a tour guide, especially in Europe, so tour guides take what they do very seriously. But all people have bad days, so if you have a bad experience on a tour, it’s more than likely the guide is just having an off day." Visit https://lnkd.in/gKVGQ77h for more advice on what to do if this ever happens to you. And for a guaranteed good time (and guide), book one of our tours today 😉
