Today's Gospel reminds us that the things of this world won't grant us access to Heaven. As hard as it is to let go of our earthly possessions, they pale in comparison to the Heavenly rewards that are yet to come. Through His grace, we can focus on a loving relationship with Him. Jesus makes it clear in today's Gospel that we are to accept the kingdom of God with the heart of a child. Unlike adults, children love fully and unreservedly, with no ulterior motives.
