We have just concluded an incredible Climate Week, marking a significant milestone for our Skyline acceleration program! 🎉 In collaboration with Energimyndigheten and Build Edison, we proudly hosted Building for the Future – Advancing Climate Innovation in NYC’s Real Estate Sector, an event that brought together Swedish innovators and key leaders from New York’s real estate industry. The evening opened with a keynote from Anthony Fiore, Chief Program Officer, NYS Program Officer at NYSERDA, followed by an engaging panel discussion featuring Jonathan Thompson from NYCEDC, Benjamin Rodney from Hines, and Richard Yancey, FAIA, LEED AP from BE-Ex, expertly moderated by Kristin Barbato from Build Edison. A special shout-out to our Skyline cohort for delivering exceptional pitches and impressing the audience! Earlier in the week, we were delighted to contribute to the Climate Connect event hosted by the Consulate General of Sweden in New York in collaboration with Business Sweden, Energimyndigheten, and the Sweden-US Green Transition Initiative. It was an inspiring evening with insightful ideas on advancing a sustainable future. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make Climate Week such a resounding success!

We will showcase the latest Nordic innovation trends and our expert panel will explore the topic: “Is the World Flat, or Is America First? Congratulations to the Swedish Energy Agency's Skyline Accelerator cohort for their accomplishments during #ClimateWeekNYC! These innovative Swedish growth stage companies in the built environment spent three intense days of market development work in NYC spanning building renovation tours, customer meetings, informational interviews, and customer meetings. The delegation's activities culminated in an event entitled, "Building for the Future: Advancing Climate Innovation in NYC's Built Environment." The cohort companies' executives showcased their solutions to an audience of industry leaders from the US and Sweden and heard from New York leaders in building tech, policy, and investment. Introducing Benjamin Rodney, Vice President of Construction for Hines! 🏗 Since joining Hines in 2013, he has successfully led numerous ground-up projects in New York City, including the iconic 56 Leonard Street and Hines' first seniors housing developments. He currently focuses on advancing decarbonization strategies for Hines’ equity properties and third-party assignments, including the NYSERDA Empire Building Challenge retrofit at 345 Hudson Street. Benjamin is a recognized expert in decarbonization and ESG and served on the Local Law 97 multifamily working group.
