Our Vice President of Regulatory Affairs, Daniel Canavan, spoke with NBC Connecticut about our Notice of Intent (NOI) to file a Reliability Investment Plan. He emphasized that the requested $105 million will fund over 200 critical infrastructure projects that urgently need repairs and upgrades to ensure safe and reliable service for our customers. Earlier this week, UI submitted a Notice of Intent to file its Reliability Investment Plan. Our President and CEO, Frank Reynolds, writes, "If PURA continues to hold our revenues artificially low, nobody wins — but it’s our customers who lose most. Foregone infrastructure investments mean they will experience longer restoration times, longer waits on the phone, and more frequent outages. ... We’re calling on PURA to enable us to continue providing best-in-class service — our custom and calling-card for 125 years — into the future." Over the weekend, 60 of our lineworkers responded to a call for Mutual Assistance from AEP Appalachian and Duke Energy to assist with recovery from Hurricane Helene's devastation. We're proud to stand with our brothers and sisters in North Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia to help them restore power to their customers as quickly and safely as possible.
