We were proud to attend the 27th Annual Speaking of Women luncheon, supporting The Center for Family Justice (CFJ). It was inspiring to hear keynote speaker Steven Pemberton and connect with local organizations and business leaders. We look forward to continuing our partnership with CFJ in their mission to break the cycle of abuse and violence by providing free, confidential crisis and supportive services.

Earlier this week, UI submitted a Notice of Intent to file its Reliability Investment Plan. Our President and CEO, Frank Reynolds, writes, "If PURA continues to hold our revenues artificially low, nobody wins — but it’s our customers who lose most. Foregone infrastructure investments mean they will experience longer restoration times, longer waits on the phone, and more frequent outages. ... We’re calling on PURA to enable us to continue providing best-in-class service — our custom and calling-card for 125 years — into the future." We are honored to be named Business of the Year by the Orange CT Chamber of Commerce. Since relocating here in 2011, we’ve established a strong partnership with the Chamber. Many of our employees actively serve on the Board of Directors, sponsor community events, support workforce development initiatives, and provide resources to local businesses and entrepreneurs. We look forward to continuing our support for the Chamber’s mission and ensuring we meet our customers’ needs by providing safe and reliable service for their homes and businesses. When the call comes, Team UI answers. Over the weekend, 60 of our lineworkers responded to a call for Mutual Assistance from AEP Appalachian and Duke Energy to assist with recovery from Hurricane Helene's devastation. We're proud to stand with our brothers and sisters in North Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia to help them restore power to their customers as quickly and safely as possible.
