I’m in the GameTime booth at the National Recreation and Park Association Conference. If you’re here in the ATL, come chat with me about the difference of access vs. inclusion vs. universal play. Let’s change the game TOGETHER so everyBODY can play!
We’re thrilled to have Damian Buchman of The Ability Center with us at #NRPA2024. Come learn more about Damian’s vision for universal park design and how we’re working together to make play possible for everyBODY. #inclusionmatters #timetoplay

Please welcome our newest interns, Maddie and Megan! We're excited to have them both as part of our mission to provide people impacted by disabilities with a daily opportunity to be fit, active, healthy, and to play. When we asked them why they chose to intern with TAC, they had this to say: "I wanted to understand how the staff interacts with and educates participants on health programs to improve quality of life. I believe The Ability Center's program supports multiple dimensions (intellectual, spiritual, emotional, physical, social, and occupational) of an individual’s health which is essential to overall well-being. I am proud to be a part of a program that educates individuals on adaptive abilities and strives to build an inclusive community." - Maddie "'Their mission to create a space in which everyone is included in activity no matter their skill level or ability level was something I too wanted to be a part of. I am glad to know I chose a place that has a priority on getting more people involved in a fun, competitive way to stay active and connected in the community which is a main purpose of sports. Making sports accessible and welcoming to everyone is something I want to continue being a part of." - Megan Please join us in welcoming Megan and Maddie! You'll be able to see them at our programming events throughout the year - make sure you say hi! Feel inspired to volunteer with TAC?
