Look which book was being raffled at The AI Conference at the O'Reilly booth? The excellent book by Catherine Nelson! 📚🎉 I’m incredibly honored to have written a quote/praise for this amazing work: "This book is the missing link data scientists have long sought, masterfully bridging the gap between data science and software engineering. It offers a clear, actionable guide that fills the crucial skill gap many data scientists face in software engineering, elevating their coding practices to new heights. Truly, this is the book we've been waiting for." It's surreal to see my words alongside so many AI experts I’ve admired for years (Carol Willing, .Chris Albon, Laurence Moroney, Shawn L Ramirez) If you are a Data Scientist, a Software Engineering or aspiring to be one, make sure to add this book to your collection. 🚀 It was also wonderful to reconnect with the O'Reilly team at the The AI Conference! It's been too long since we have done something together. Mind officially blown! 🤯 Just back from an exhilarating two day deep dive at The AI Conference 2024 in San Francisco, one of 2024's hottest tech gatherings of AI. 🚀🧠 The knowledge I gained about AI's current state and future potential was mind-blowing. From the latest vision models to cutting-edge LLMOps, Advanced RAG, and AI agents, every session was packed with insights. Things that stood out to me: João (Joe) Moura, CEO of crewAI, delivered an incredible talk on the upcoming "agent era." His vision of AI agents collaborating like human teams fascinated me. As a crewAI user, his presentation resonated deeply. Our post-talk chat about crewAI's efficiency revolution and my hands-on experience was enlightening, sparking ideas for new applications in AI teamwork. Prashanth Rao, AI Engineer at Kuzu, impressed me with his expertise in the advanced RAG panel and his presentation on Graph RAG. Our in-depth discussion afterwards became a conference highlight for me. Prashanth's insights and suggestions on RAG technologies were truly memorable and valuable. I also had the pleasure of interacting with the Haystack AI team, who are doing absolutely brilliant work. Haystack by deepset is an open-source framework specializing in agentic pipelines and advanced RAGs for building cutting-edge search and question answering systems. My conversation with Stefano Fiorucci from Haystack was particularly engaging. I'm excited to see Haystack's future developments - they're poised to make a significant impact in the AI space. Wishing them all the best in their endeavors! The learning didn't stop at the presentations! I had the chance to interact with many fellow volunteers and attendees, each bringing unique perspectives and experiences. These conversations provided some of the most valuable insights of the conference: - Discussing real-world AI implementation challenges with industry professionals - Exchanging ideas on ethical AI development with researchers - Learning about innovative AI applications from startup founders The startup showcase was equally inspiring, with so many companies pushing AI boundaries. Seeing the latest advancements in vision models and how startups are working towards the betterment of AI was truly eye-opening. This conference has left me buzzing with ideas and excited for AI's future, especially in areas like LLMOps, RAG, and AI agents. Who else was there? What were your key takeaways? Let's connect and chat AI! 💡🤖 #AIConference2024 #ArtificialIntelligence #MachineLearning #Networking #TechInnovation

"The human brain, which is larger than any LLM, only requires about as much power as a light bulb to operate. So if we want to make AI more efficient, shouldn't we start there? Can we start there? Can neuroscience truly improve AI?" our VP Marketing Christy Maver asked a packed crowd at The AI Conference this week. [Hint: the answer is yes. Yes it can. It was great presenting to a fantastic audience at The AI Conference yesterday in San Francisco. AI Agents are the future of workforce augmentation. The most practical use of AI in an organization that can deliver immediate and substantial outcomes is implementing AI as an extension to the workforce. Every employee in an organization is paired with their own team of AI Agents who help offload time-consuming, repetitive, mundane, or complex tasks, freeing up employees' precious time for higher-order and strategic tasks that move the needle for the organization. This requires an entirely different approach. AI should not be treated as just software or a technology component but as a strategic addition to the workforce that can deliver super-high speed, accuracy, efficiency, productivity, and cost-effective scaling. AI Agents are not replacements for employees; they are part of their team and empower employees to deliver significant strategic value at a much elevated level and help businesses get future-ready. #FutureOfWork #AIAgents #TAIC2024
