From the iconic Ramova Theatre (@ramovachicago)! We kicked off an incredible day at the newly renovated venue, brought back to life by Chicago legends Chance the Rapper, Jennifer Hudson, and Quincy Jones. The day began with an inspiring panel, "The Hip Hop Museum X Chase presents 'Rise and Grind: The Recipe for Success.'" Hosted by the one and only Terry Hunter (@djterryhunter), this session delivered powerful insights from super restauranteur Erik Rico Nance (@riconance), the esteemed Estelle (@estelledarlings), the legendary George Daniels (@gdaniels44), and Chase financial advisor - Bre Mills. Each panelist shared personal journeys, motivational hacks and history lessons in their path to success. More amazing Ramova highlights to come!!!! Special thanks to the De'Veilope Event Consulting and Design (@deveilopeevents) team for all of the support on decor and design for this beautiful event! #THHM #Chase #ReadyForBusiness #HipHopCulture #InvestInYourself #ChicagoHistory #RamovaTheater #Entrepreneurship #SuccessStories #BlackExcellence #DreamChasers #RiseAndGrind

The Hip Hop Museum and our development team at L+M Development Partners LLC, have carefully taken into consideration the feedback of the residents of the housing portion of our shared mixed use development. Those who reside on the premises have expressed a desire to view an art piece from their windows. And we listened. In response we invited THHM's artist in residence Eric Orr, creator of the first Hip Hop comic book and style writer El Souls to design a work of art that reflects the museum and its location.

This artwork will underscore our commitment to addressing the concerns of the Bronx community. As an institution created by and for the people who live, breathe, and carry Hip Hop culture, we take pride in being the "Official Record of Hip Hop." With that title comes a responsibility to honor those who call the Bronx home. #TheHipHopMuseum

Chicago, we’re keeping the momentum going strong! After an epic kickoff, we brought even more impactful moments to the Chase Stony Island branch. The afternoon kicked off with an inspiring workshop led by Shaakira Mason-Holloway, “Investing is for Everyone,” showing that no matter where you are in your financial journey, smart investing is for you. Next up, our co-founder and executive director of The Hip Hop Museum, Rocky Bucano, shared the latest exciting updates on our mission to empower the culture. The highlight? A powerhouse panel, “How to Invest Like a Boss: Flip Your Finances,” featuring Leon Rogers, Erik Rico Nance, and Chef Fab. They dropped gems on how to take control of your financial future through smart investments and entrepreneurship. We wrapped up the day with a curated culinary from entrepreneur and Chase Client, Nicole Jordan Catering, DJ Tai (@taihunter_) & DJ Mustafa Rocks (@DJMustafarocks), @THHMuseum iconic hip hop artifacts, and next-level breakdancing performances! Stay locked in for Parts 3 & 4 as we take over the historic Ramova Theater for a full day of programming. #THHM #Chase #ReadyForBusiness #HipHopCulture #InvestInYourself

The Hip Hop Museum (THHM) has partnered with The B-Boy & B-Girl Dojo to help people learn how to breakdance online. This program will help drive donations for the museum while providing fans authentic courses from some of the best breakers in the world.

Beginner Course:
Learn from Jussi “Focus” Sirviö A.K.A B-Boy Focus, founder of B-Boy Dojo and the coach of Finland’s Olympic Team.

Advanced Course:
Learn from B-Boy Menno who is competing in the Paris 2024 Olympics.

A portion of each paid course will be donated to THHM to help build the museum in the Bronx, NY.

Breaking started in the Bronx in the 1970s, and had evolved into global form of dance. This year breaking made history as an official sport in the 2024 Paris Olympics.

You too can be a history maker by learning how to break in these classes and donating to help build the future of Hip Hop.

We were honored to have Hip Hop royalty visit The Hip Hop Museum recently, and we’re ecstatic to share the experience!   Big Lez stopped by the construction site and had a blast exploring what will soon be the world’s premier institution dedicated to preserving every aspect of Hip Hop culture. We’re eagerly looking forward to collaborating with her in the near future.   For those who may not know, Big Lez is a multi-hyphenate talent, famously recognized for her iconic dance moves in the opening credits of Queen Latifah’s hit sitcom “Living Single” and her groundbreaking work as a host on the legendary music video show “Rap City.”   While the artists undeniably turned Hip Hop into a billion-dollar industry, trailblazers like Big Lez played a crucial role in bringing the culture to the masses.   Support YOUR museum today! Text “HipHop” to 707070 or visit www.thhm.org/donate 🙏🏾. #TheHipHopMuseum
