Yesterday, Cover My Mental Health, founded by Thresholds' board of directors member Joe Feldman, was awarded the Excellence in Mental Health Award by Illinois Association for Behavioral Health. 👏 Cover My Mental Health supports individuals to overcome insurer obstacles to care, notably denials for “not medically necessary,” “no in-network provider” available, and other inexplicable barriers to care. Thresholds was proud to nominate Cover My Mental Health for this honor, with President and CEO Mark Ishaug noting that Joe's establishment of this new non-profit is a profoundly impactful next effort in his years-long advocacy “to maintain access to mental health and substance use disorder services or improved quality of care for consumers.” Congratulations Joe and the entire team at Cover My Mental Health! 🥳
