About us
Tinker Federal Credit Union (TFCU) is the largest credit union in Oklahoma with over 450,000 members and more than $6 billion in assets. For over 77 years, we have been helping our members achieve their goals and realize their dreams. As a not-for-profit, member-owned financial cooperative, TFCU returns profits to our members through financial education, higher dividends on deposits, lower interest rates on loans and low or no fees on services. Founded March 20, 1946, by a small group of Tinker Field civilian employees, the financial institution now known as Tinker Federal Credit Union grew from a single branch at Tinker Field (now Tinker Air Force Base) to a network of branches across the state. We now offer 30 full-service branches and two Express Branches throughout Oklahoma City and as far reaching as Tulsa, Ada and Enid. With a wide range of products and services, TFCU serves Tinker Air Force Base, Vance Air Force Base, underserved Oklahoma counties and the employees of over 2,200 area companies. Our members enjoy competitive loan and share (savings) rates, excellent checking options, access to over 300,000 ATMs worldwide and online and mobile account access. TFCU employs over 900 people and was named one of the Credit Union Journal’s “Best Credit Unions to Work For” in 2014. And in 2013, we were named one of the “Top Workplaces in Oklahoma” by the Oklahoman. We were named the “Best Credit Union”, “Best Bank/Credit Union for CDs”, and “Best Mortgage Lender” in The Oklahoman’s 2019 Readers’ Choice Awards. In addition, we were named “Best Credit Union” in the Oklahoma Gazette’s 2022 Best of OKC. Our mission: “Tinker Federal Credit Union exists to help our members achieve their goals and realize their dreams.” Tinker Federal Credit Union promotes a substance-free work place and is an Equal Opportunity Employer, Minority/Female/Disability/Veteran.

We hosted over 4,300 members and their families at the Oklahoma City Zoo and Botanical Garden for TFCU Member Appreciation Day! We couldn’t have pulled this off without the support of our #TFCUTeam and their willingness to give back to our members.

Our Heritage Club members had a blast with Not Your Average Joe, learning all about the art of charcuterie! We are proud of our partnership with NYAJ and advancing their mission.
Yesterday Not Your Average Joe hosted a charcuterie class with Tinker Federal Credit Union at our Choctaw location! Chef Julianne Ingle dazzled the crowd with her knowledge of cheeses, fruits, vegetables, and all the yummy pairings! The class learned about all the items on a board, how to make different elements, and (most importantly) everyone got to snack on the tasty treats! Shelley, Terrie, Abby, and Yael also delighted the crowd with their knowdlege and puns! #beacceptional

The TFCU financial empowerment team has been hard at work in the community, equipping students and adults with the money tools they need for a successful financial future. Recently, our team taught “How to Adult” to 300 high school and college students at the Muskogee Nation’s Summer Youth Life Skills Conference and then helped students at the 4H Pit Stop in Stillwater learn valuable money tips. The #TFCUTeam was even recognized nationally at the Credit Union Financial Education Network Conference for all of the workshops they have provided over the last year. We are so proud of all of their hard work giving back to our members!
