Exciting milestone for #TITAN and our pioneering #carboncapture project IFESTOS! We were honored to welcome thyssenkrupp Polysius to our Athens Headquarters to celebrate the signing of the Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) #contract for IFESTOS. This partnership represents a significant step forward in the implementation of one of the largest carbon capture projects in Europe. Set to be deployed at our Kamari plant near Athens, Greece, the project aims to reduce CO2 emissions of the plant to #netzero and enable the annual production of more than 3 million tons of #zerocarbon #cement.   Under the agreement, thyssenkrupp Polysius will design and equip the two kiln lines of the Kamari plant with oxyfuel systems for CO2 capture. First -and second- generation oxyfuel and cryogenic capture technologies will combine to capture 98.5% of the plant’s CO₂ emissions. 𝐁𝐞𝐞-𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐁𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐓𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫! 🏆 The TITAN Group and its subsidiary INTERBETON in #Greece have been honored with the #GoldAward at the 2024 #EnvironmentalAwards by Boussias for our first holistic "𝐀𝐝𝐨𝐩𝐭 𝐚 𝐁𝐞𝐞" program, aimed at protecting #biodiversity in areas of high ecological value. 🐝 Under the distinctive title "Bee-lding a Better World Together" and in collaboration with the NGO Bee for planet , this award-winning initiative in the "Sustainable Business" category involves the installation of approximately 400,000 bees at our quarry in Lepenou, Agrinio. The bees are being scientifically monitored to evaluate how they interact with and enhance the biodiversity of the surrounding area. 🌻 Each year, these bees are expected to pollinate over 1.7 billion flowers and plants, creating a thriving habitat for local #flora and #fauna. Recently, we brought together experts and #leaders from all our regions to share knowledge, best practices, and insights on one of the most important levers in our #netzero #roadmap: 𝐀𝐥𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐅𝐮𝐞𝐥𝐬. Our latest #greenenergy initiative includes the inauguration of a 𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐓𝐈𝐓𝐀𝐍 𝐙𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐧𝐚 𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐠𝐚 𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐁𝐮𝐥𝐠𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚. This investment not only advances TITAN's Green #Growth #Strategy 2026 but also cements our commitment to a cleaner, more #sustainable future. ☀️The newly operational solar plant is set to supply 14% of the plant's annual power needs with clean, renewable energy. Surplus energy will be fed into the national grid, further boosting Bulgaria's transition to sustainable energy in line with the #EUGreenDeal. ☀️This facility is expected to reduce CO2 emissions by approximately 3,000 tonnes each year and has the potential for future expansion. This marks our second successful solar venture following the installation at the Usje cement plant in North Macedonia in 2022. #TitanGroup #sustainablegrowth  

In #1H2024, TITAN achieved robust #sales #growth, increased #profitability and further strengthened its balance sheet position.
