Going into the weekend knowing TNDC reached its fundraising goal for Pool Toss! With the help of six tossees and hundreds of backers, The Tenderloin After School Program [TASP] directly benefitted from the success of TNDC's 32nd Pool Toss event. Each year, TASP provides a safe space for over 200 kids and teens to play, learn, and build leadership skills. This transformative program boosts self-esteem, fosters a sense of community, and creates lasting change for our neighborhood's youth. Thank YOU for another successful Pool Toss! Last year, the City and its nonprofit partners helped over 1,500 households avoid homelessness. These organizations are the backbone of our community, providing essential resources and support when it matters most. Today, over 6,500 people are housed across our 47 buildings, with 93% of our residents qualifying as extremely low income. Rooted in the Tenderloin with branches across seven San Francisco neighborhoods and growing, TNDC strives to work alongside communities and meet people where they're at. Let’s continue to uplift those in need! #SFNonprofitsWork #SocialSafetyNet

In honor of #HispanicHeritageMonth, we’re proud to recognize two of our Affordable Housing Program (AHP) grant recipients who are creating equitable access to affordable housing in #Latinx communities. Recently we awarded a $1.4 million AHP grant to TNDC through our member Century Housing. In partnership with Mission Economic Development Agency (MEDA), this project brings 143 affordable homes to San Francisco’s Mission District, alongside critical services like childcare and arts spaces to support families and the community. This year we also awarded a $2 million grant to #MEDA through our member Bank of San Francisco to construct 31 affordable homes for #educators earning 80% of area median income (AMI). This project also provides a childcare space, homeownership coaching and financial support to ensure long-term success for first-time #homebuyers. Grants like these transform lives by providing the security of a home and access to financial education and community services, supporting long-term stability and growth. We are committed to advancing opportunities for diverse communities, ensuring everyone has a safe, affordable place to call home. 📸Courtesy of Bruce Damonte #FHLBankSF #AffordableHousing #LatinxCommunity #HispanicHeritageMonth #AHPgrants

Meet Jake Bordeleau, one of our TNDC executive assistants! "Here at TNDC, it works because we have a group of superheroes disguised as social workers, property managers, desk clerks, and leaders who work together tirelessly make sure residents remain housed, access services they need and advocate for their rights." Our city relies on nonprofits to provide critical support during tough times. These organizations are evaluated and held accountable to ensure they maximize their impact. Let’s shine a light on the difference they make every day! #SFNonprofitsWork #SocialSafetyNet

Across all transit operators in the Bay Area, total annual boardings reached over 247 million in 2022, and 67% of those were by bus. TNDC is proud to endorse Prop L, a SF resident initiative that collected over 17,000 signatures to make it to the 2024 ballot. Prop L (formerly the ComMUNIty Transit Act) is a ballot measure to increase operations funding for Muni, which is currently in danger of funding cuts. To prevent this, this proposal would utilize revenue from a new business tax on ride-hail companies toward Muni.
