Highlighting a special project for BassamFellows that showcases the beauty of black and white imagery — and why partnering with the right producer is so important. This project was originally specified CMYK, but understanding the power of thoughtful production, materials, and planning on the desired outcome, Noel Tocci and our team suggested advance press-proofing, and paper testing before ultimately recommending printing on 100# Mohawk Superfine, Eggshell, Ultrawhite Text, with offset duotones (black + PMS 426), deliberately left unbound to allow for mood boarding and inspiration. Printed at the height of the pandemic, this catalog and our work together reinforced the desire to hold, touch, and be together through the feeling of imagery and tactility that this piece achieved, and it remains a major crowd pleaser today.
