Why Employers Need to Show Patience with Dyspraxia: An Angry Rant It’s beyond frustrating that employers continue to treat dyspraxia like it's some minor inconvenience we should just “get over.” Let’s make this clear: dyspraxia is a real, serious condition that affects basic coordination and motor skills. And yet, we are expected to perform perfectly, day in and day out, without any understanding or accommodations. Do employers honestly think that it’s easy to function when your body doesn’t cooperate the way it’s supposed to? Expecting someone with dyspraxia to perform like everyone else without any patience or support is NOT just unfair—it’s cruel! This is a condition that requires understanding, flexibility, and a willingness to make the workplace inclusive, not some arbitrary standard that only punishes those who are already struggling. It’s time to stop pretending this isn’t a real issue. Employers need to step up, educate themselves, and provide the support we need. It’s not a favor—it’s basic human decency. Why Employers Need to Show Patience with Dyspraxia: An Angry Rant I’m absolutely DONE with employers treating dyspraxia like it's some inconvenience that can be ignored! Dyspraxia is a REAL, CHRONIC condition that affects motor skills and coordination—it’s not a damn excuse for incompetence, it’s a challenge we’re trying to navigate every single day. And yet, so many employers refuse to show any patience, any understanding, or any accommodation. Expecting people with dyspraxia to perform at the same level as everyone else—without any help, without any flexibility—is RIDICULOUS! It’s exhausting, demeaning, and downright harmful. You can’t keep pushing people to their limits and expecting perfection when they’re already fighting a battle behind the scenes. It’s high time employers start taking responsibility. Stop treating people with dyspraxia like they’re less than. EDUCATE yourself, show some damn empathy, and make your workplaces actually inclusive. If you can't do that, then you’re part of the problem. Want to dive deeper? Check out this book: Thinking Books. Full Link: https://lnkd.in/g6rYVnS4
