A quick shout out to our amazing leadership team at TVS! From cooking, delivering, and serving food on our evening shift last week to helping facilitate burgers for all employees (and the community), we have a wonderful village of support that assisted employees with free meals for a week and a half following Hurricane Helene! #TeamTVS

Employing & empowering individuals with disabilities and other barriers to employment, for more than 50 years.
About us
TVS is a social enterprise dedicated to the employment & empowerment of individuals with disabilities and other barriers to employment. Our Manufacturing & Packaging business unit specializes in the blending and packaging of dry food and beverage products and dietary supplements. Our Programs & Services business unit offers day and residential programs for adults with disabilities, as well as offers employment evaluation/training/placement to individuals in various stages of vocational rehabilitation. Founded in 1967, our mission is to provide quality employment, job training and residential & community services to individuals with disabilities and other barriers to employment. In support of this, TVS established a food manufacturing facility in 2001 to offer a consistent source of job opportunities. Since then, TVS has produced more than 200 million pounds of dry food and beverage products for the U.S. government alone and has served dozens of commercial customers in the food and dietary supplements industries. The support services arm of TVS helps adults with disabilities find and retain meaningful employment, within and outside of TVS, and positively engage with the community. TVS employs 150 people at its 65,000 sq. ft. facility in Brevard, where it earned the Brevard/Transylvania Chamber of Commerce’s 2016 Business of the Year award. We are proud that our disaster relief efforts supported our community! Last week, TVS donated over 7,700 pounds of Mountain Maid products to nearby nonprofits, churches, and our neighbors. Including powdered milk (INDM), grits, pancakes, and more. It takes a community and we are proud to be a part of Transylvania County. A HUGE thank you to all the churches, nonprofits, and businesses providing supplies, foods, and hot meals to those in need. You can find Mountain Maid donations at The Sharing House and The Hunger Coalition. #TeamTVS #AppalachiaStrong

Last week during disaster relief, TVS found ways to support team members. We filled grocery boxes, served hot lunches, provided showers and laundry services, supported employees with transportation, and more. We hope that our assistance provided a little stability for our team in the immediate days after Hurricane Helene. #teamTVS

Last week, TVS employees came together filling a total of 57 boxes with non-perishable food items to supporting fellow TVS team members in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. It was a display of solidarity, as colleagues from various departments joined forces to ensure that those in need within their own work family would have access to essential supplies. We are proud to be a part of the TVS team! #TeamTVS #828strong

We want to thank Anchor Baptist Church, Smoke On BBQ Brevard, Brevard Diner, Sully's Steamers - Brevard, Big Mike's, and Bojangles! Without you, we would not have been able to provide lunch to our employees last week. We did not expect our full TVS family to be at work, but we wanted to make sure the ones that could safely get to us at least had a hot meal. #828strong #TeamTVS
