One of the things that is amazing about PEAK Grantmaking is that I can find myself sharing community with people like Satonya and Jessica. If you can put yourself in the presence of thoughtful women leaders, do it. And then soak up all you can learn. In kicking off #PEAK2025nola on Monday, Satonya said two things that really stuck with me. 1. She doesn't stay in philanthropy for its legacy. She stays for the promise. We have the responsibility of that promise. 2. She's looked in every dictionary, and in all of them equity is defined as fair and impartial. And, she "will be here until Friday if you have a different definition.”
