Updates

  • Today, TriStar Centennial Medical Center unveiled our new Reflection Garden! Nashville mural artist, Rich Jones, painted the mural highlighting the Tennessee hills, tree of life and words of encouragement around a fountain center piece. The intention is to provide a place of rest, remembrance and restoration for our patients, visitors and colleagues. The Reflection Garden is in viewing distance of the recently announced second location of The Store. The Store’s second location is set to open summer 2025 on the TriStar Centennial campus and will provide clothing and food for those in need in the Nashville community. This Reflection Garden is another initiative TriStar Centennial is working on in order to bring light and love to our community. Thank you to everyone who came out to support the unveiling of our new Reflection Garden!

  • At TriStar Centennial, we take every opportunity to highlight the amazing work done by our colleagues. We’re proud of our employees who live by our mission statement, “above all else we are committed to the care and improvement of human life.” This week, we awarded THREE outstanding colleagues for this month’s Above All Else Colleague of the Month recognition. These colleagues were nominated by their peers for showcasing our ICARE values: integrity, compassion, accountability, respect and excellence. Congratulations and thank you for going above and beyond! Kelly Beasley, Adult Emergency Department - Kelly has been with the TriStar Centennial family for more than 11 years. She is described by her peers as caring, reliable and knowledgeable. She is known as the “mom” in the department. If you need something or someone, she is the go-to person! Ally Cates, Ultrasound - Ally has been a member of our TriStar Centennial Women’s and Children’s Ultrasound team since 2018. She is described by her peers as compassionate towards her patients and helpful to the team. Ally is always willing to go above and beyond in her commitment to our patients. Melissa Cajuste, Sarah Cannon 3 North - Melissa is described as the coworker you look to when things get busy because you can count on her to be calm, cool and collected. Her superpower is caring like family. Whether she is taking patients outside for sunshine or listening to stories about their grandkids, she brightens their day any chance she gets. While she has been in an extern role, we are excited for her to start as a nurse on 3 North at the end of the month! #Colleagueofthemonth #Aboveallelse #Carelikefamily

  • This weekend, 15 colleagues from TriStar Centennial Medical Center joined more than 60 colleagues from TriStar Health to travel to Asheville, North Carolina to support, assist and provide relief to caregivers at HCA Healthcare affiliate Mission Health. As Hurricane #Helene swept through Western North Carolina this week, it brought torrential rain, widespread power outages and cell service disruptions. Through challenging days, colleagues have selflessly served their community and supported Mission Health patients without hesitation. We are proud to support our fellow HCA Healthcare colleagues as their community continues to recover. Thank you for showing up for each other. #HealthierTomorrows #HCANursing

  • Our surgical team at TriStar Centennial is celebrating performing 1,000 robotic bronchoscopy procedures! This technique is used to biopsy lung nodules as small as 5 millimeters which contributes to early diagnosis of lung cancers and leads to earlier treatment options for our patients. We are so proud of this incredible achievement and are happy to say the team is already fast approaching the next milestone! Congratulations and thank you for all you do! #RaiseTheBar

  • We are so proud of this team! Our TriStar Centennial research team is celebrating the success of a first-in-the-nation procedure. Our team is treating Tricuspid Regurgitation (TR), a heart valve disease, using a new investigational procedure option for patients with a device called Trillium. Most patients living with TR experience abnormal heart rhythms, tiredness and swelling in the legs or neck. This procedure offers an alternative to the traditional open-heart surgery, offering patients a less-invasive option. TriStar Centennial is proud to be one of only 10 investigational sites in the world utilizing this treatment, delivering safe, patient-centered care. #HealthierTomorrows #CareLikeFamily

Today and every day, we honor the experiences, stories and traditions interwoven in the rich tapestry of Hispanic culture and recognize the accomplishments that have shaped our nation and continue to move us forward. #PositiveImpact #HispanicHeritageMonth

  • Exciting news! Today, The Store announced plans to open a second location on the campus of TriStar Centennial Medical Center to continue its mission of fighting food insecurity in Nashville. Brad Paisley and Kimberly Williams-Paisley are co-founders of The Store, a nonprofit organization that offers a free, referral-based grocery store to empower Nashville families and individuals in need. The Store’s unique model, which emphasizes dignity and choice, allows customers to select from a variety of nutritious foods, clothing and wrap-around services. This system of wrap-around services includes counseling, nutrition education and financial planning, making The Store a beacon of hope and care in our community. “As caregivers, our concern for the well-being of our community extends beyond our hospital doors,” said Tom Ozburn, president and CEO of TriStar Centennial Medical Center. “Through The Store, our care teams will have peace of mind knowing the community will have a resource close by that can help provide needed food and clothing.” For more information or to learn how to volunteer, visit thestore.org (Pictured here from left to right: Collen Mayer, The Store CEO, Kimberly Williams-Paisley, Brad Paisley, Tom Ozburn, TriStar Centennial President & CEO)
