Thinking about our communities, seniors and partners recovering from Hurricane Helene over the weekend. Troupe Health is here to support our impacted partners in ensuring their residents are taken care of and connected to community resources, medical partners, and mental health services. Natural disasters like hurricanes, floods, and earthquakes can lead to significant mental health impacts, including anxiety, depression, and PTSD. Those who go through these disasters may face possible grief from loss of loved ones and homes, along with isolation and stress from disrupted communities. Vulnerable groups, such as the elderly, are especially at risk. The strain on mental health services in affected areas further complicates recovery, increasing the need for psychological support and trauma-informed care.
