🛣️ CEDR and Road Authorities Support Euro NCAP’s Truck Safe Ratings Initiative 🛣️
The Conference of European Directors of Roads (CEDR), an organisation of European national road administrations, is committed to advancing road safety and supports Euro NCAP’s Truck Safe programme, which aims to enhance safety for trucks, businesses, drivers, and all road users. CEDR aims to implement a more efficient road management that also aligns with Vision Zero—a future with zero fatalities or serious injuries on Europe’s roads. 🚚
As Steve Phillips, Secretary-General of CEDR, expressed, “CEDR really welcomes the opportunity to work with Euro NCAP on developing safety criteria for trucks. It’s absolutely vital that we break down the silos and embrace the safe system approach because we want safe trucks with safe drivers on safe roads.” 🌍
Serving as a key platform for Road Directors and National Road Administrations, CEDR facilitates knowledge sharing, joint project collaboration, and professional networking to foster road safety improvements across Europe. Members of organisations like those are gathering in the first Euro NCAP’s Truck Safe Results & Experience Event on 20 November 2024 at HORIBA MIRA in the UK. Industry leaders are driving forward towards a safer, more sustainable future for all road users! 🧑🤝🧑
