Economic activity has hit new levels in the communities of Asante Agona and Nsuta Aframso in the Ashanti region. Over 100 people have taken up rice-farming as part of the Tullow AgriVentures Programme, introduced earlier this year. Many of these new farmers are young parents, early school leavers, and community hands who have benefitted from skills training, knowledge sharing and support from their local authorities. In a latest move to boost the local economy and ensure reliable market access, Western Dɛdɛɛw, producers of the popular Ghanaian local ‘Dɛdɛɛw rice’, have committed to purchasing directly from these farmers. The Tullow AgriVentures Programme is in partnership with Innohub Foundation. #TAP #Agribusiness #Sustainability #Innovation #BuildingaBetterFuture #TullowGhana Innohub
