Meet Jack. Jack has been a Twin Cities Habitat volunteer for a long time—39 years, to be exact! In 1985, when he learned about the need for affordable housing, Jack decided to get involved: "When I heard about Habitat’s work, it seemed like an obvious way to be part of the solution. We’re obligated to those around us." Since then, he helped launch Holy Hammers, led service-learning projects for students, and is now part of Bud's Bunch Regular Crew. Jack even participated in the 2024 Carter Work Project! “Volunteering is always rewarding, even if you don’t see the immediate impact,” he says. “As long as I can, I’ll be out on the build site."

One amazing week in 68 seconds 📽️ We're still not over the 2024 #CarterWorkProject... What an incredible, impactful, and FUN way to kick off our efforts at The Heights in East St. Paul! Relive some of our favorite memories in this quick recap video. 🤩

The recent Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project was nothing short of extraordinary. From September 29 through October 4, more than 4,000 people gathered with Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity and Habitat for Humanity International to cast a global spotlight on the importance of affordable housing. Volunteers worked on 30 homes, launching Twin Cities Habitat's construction efforts at The Heights on St. Paul's East Side! We have many people to thank for their contributions in making this massive, week-long event a huge success. In fact, we really can’t thank you all enough. 💙

Thank you, Kim D., for donating your vehicle to Cars for Homes! Here's what Kim had to say: "Our old car, affectionately known as Green Goblin, was so much more to us than just a car. It took us safely on many adventures through snowstorms, rain, slick roads, and heavy traffic. Goblin was faithful transportation and aged with dignity. It will be strange to not see Green Goblin in the garage. He served his family well and was well loved. Hopefully he can continue to bless others in some capacity."
