This #TestimonialTuesday, we're sharing the story of Marti, a multi-organ transplant recipient. When Marti's health struggles started, her family stepped in to donate their organs. Her uncle donated a portion of his liver and her cousin donated a kidney. After her kidney went into rejection, she was put back on the list for a new one. Several months later, she got the call she'd been waiting for. Marti's donor was 33-year-old Ashley. "It was awesome to be able to hear from the donor family that I was a part of five women that Ashley was able to save with the donation of her vital organs," said Marti. Listen to Marti's first-hand account of how organ donation and transplantation changed her life here: https://lnkd.in/g9-Trp7R

If you are a registered organ donor, we thank you. Whether you have already registered online or at the DMV, be proactive about discussing your registration and wishes with your loved ones. If you haven’t registered yet, it’s important you also have the opportunity to make this type of generous gesture before it’s too late. Your willingness to register could inspire family, friends and neighbors to be just as thoughtful. https://lnkd.in/gdJDsm5h

On this weeks #TestimonialTuesday, we're sharing Annjanette "AJ" Gonzalez's story. When AJ first got on the waitlist, she thought it wouldn't be long before she received a transplant. Unfortunately, her long wait on the waitlist caused her to give up her career and independent lifestyle. At the time of filming, AJ had been on the waitlist for over nine years. "I had to become totally reliant on my family due to complications," AJ said. AJ never gave up hope that her gift would eventually be there to change her life. Since filming her testimonial video in 2020, AJ received her gift of life. We're proud to report that she has since recovered, moved, and got her career back.
