At UNFI, our drivers play an essential role in delivering better food to our customers and communities every day. During our 2024 fiscal year, our drivers traveled more than 166 million miles and made over 1.8 million deliveries.   As part of our Driver Ambassador Program, over 1,100 drivers earned Elite Driver status by consistently delivering superior customer service and adopting safe driving practices. This year, UNFI is honoring #HungerActionMonth by shining a light on a handful of our 2024 UNFI Foundation grantees who share our commitment to improving access to quality food. Loaves & Fishes MN is a community organization that provides healthy foods to those in need with the mission of ending hunger and transforming lives. With support from the UNFI Foundation, the organization can now add one additional food rescue driver per year, which means that nearly 1.25 million more meals can be delivered to people in need.
