The High-Level Group for statistics for the 2030 Agenda (HLG-PCCB) is set to launch a new outcome document at the 5th #UNDataForum on November 15th in Medellín, Colombia. This second-generation document builds on the original Cape Town Global Action Plan (CTGAP 1.0) introduced in 2017. It aligns with recent international outcomes from the Summit of the Future, introduces 12 new priorities organised in 4 areas, and includes a new set of actions and matching commitments. 🔗 We invite the community to provide feedback by October 31, 2024. The 15th #IAEG-#SDGs is ongoing, covering topics such as the 2025 Comprehensive Review, SDG monitoring and implementation, data innovations, communications, link to policies, partnership and capacity building. Huge thanks to our partner UNDP Global Policy Centre for Governance and Statistics Norway for hosting the event.
Today- the 15th #IAEG-#SDGs Meeting in Oslo 🇳🇴 was opened by the IAEG-SDGs Co-Chairs from Brazil and Canada, together with the co-hosts from the UNDP Global Policy Centre for Governance and Statistics Norway (SSB) as well as the Norad - Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation. The speakers highlighted the critical role of national statistical offices and the importance of concluding the comprehensive review of the SDG indicators by the IAEG-SDG group. Individual speakers also called for the tracking of SDGs with “integrity, accuracy, and inclusivity” and to ensure that people were at the centre of statistical processes. 👉 Plenary sessions continued through the day and will resume through 23 October.
