“Impact isn't made through screens," said panelist Travis Williams of LIFT JAX. "It's when people get in a room together to have real conversations. Fight to be in these rooms. No matter how big it gets, we are still a world of people.” Atlantic Circle, United Way's group of young philanthropists and changemakers, is ready to help make an impact in Northeast Florida. Check out the article in Jacksonville Daily Record about our most recent event, Cocktails & Conversations, and how you can get involved in the community. 📊 RealSense, United Way's free tax preparation program, celebrated the commitment and dedication of volunteers from our St. Matthews and Wells Fargo VITA tax sites. These remarkable individuals have made a lasting impact on our community by offering free tax preparation services to those in need. Year after year, our volunteers dedicate their time, with some supporting both sites throughout each tax season. We were thrilled to honor them with a lunch full of games, certificates, and tokens of appreciation. 👏 Our deepest gratitude goes to all our volunteers, especially Bettye Scott, who retires this year after over 40 years of service to both the IRS and RealSense. 🎖️ Since 2019, Mission United has provided crucial support to over 33,000 Veterans, active-duty military and their families in Northeast Florida. Recent federal funding cuts have put these services at risk. To continue offering life-changing case management, we've launched Continue The Mission to raise $200,000 for Veterans in need. Every $25 can provide immediate support, and thanks to JM Family Enterprises, Inc., every gift is matched 100% up to $50,000 until Oct. 23!
