Congratulations to Hayden Hawthorne and Michael Battaglia on being named the 2024 Garland Tynes Memorial Scholarship recipients. "This scholarship has been organized and funded by the Arkansas State Golf Association and Kathy Tynes to honor her late husband, Garland, who was the golf course superintendent at Pine Bluff Country Club for 45 years and was killed in a tragic car accident in 2021. Garland (and the entire Tynes family) was a legend and pioneer in the Arkansas golf course superintendent industry and he mentored and impacted countless young people in this business." Arkansas State Golf Assn We are honored to have our students recognized for their accomplishments and the potential impact they can make on golf course management in the future.
