Urban Peak is proud to be awarded a grant from the City and County of Denver through the Healthy Food for Denver’s Kids (HFDK) program. This program addresses food insecurity and provides equitable access to nutritious meals for Denver’s youth. HFDK was established through a 2018 ballot initiative, demonstrating the direct impact of the community in improving young people’s lives! With support from partners and programs like HFDK, Urban Peak served 44,099 meals to more than 900 youth experiencing homelessness in 2024. That’s because of YOU! 🌠 Envisioning the Future with the Salazar Family 🌠 Urban Peak is thrilled to partner with the Salazar Family Foundation in a myriad of ways over the years. Most recently, Lola and Erin Salazar visited The Mothership to work with our youth to create vision boards for themselves in Lumina, the art studio. Everyone took cutouts from magazines to create a collage that expressed their self-identities and goals for the future, while enjoying delicious donuts. Some youth went hard on the art while others approached it from a more textual perspective, demonstrating how everyone truly is on their own journey. For the third year in a row, our amazing partners at the Denver Broncos Football Club generously provided pizza and cookie decorating materials to brighten the season for youth experiencing homelessness. This holiday, we were honored to be part of DaVita Kidney Care's annual holiday party.
