I’m pleased to share that we recently performed an onco-TESE procedure on a young azoospermic patient with elevated FSH, testicular atrophy, and a diagnosis of possible testicular neoplasia. Onco-TESE is a safe and effective procedure for patients desiring fertility, even in complex cases involving azoospermia and testicular cancer. Testicular pulp was extracted from the contralateral side of the palpable tumor. Pathology revealed a mixed germ cell tumor: seminoma (75%) and embryonal carcinoma (25%), measuring 2.2 x 1.4 cm, unifocal, with lymphovascular invasion. The surgical margin of the spermatic cord and epididymis showed no relevant histological findings.pT2 pNx pMx. As a result, we successfully obtained motile sperm for ICSI. This achievement highlights the exceptional collaboration between urology and fertility teams. Proud of our team’s work and commitment to advancing patient care and fertility preservation.
