Last night our physicians and staff had the honor of holding a dinner at the Hope Lodge for their staff and current patients! We appreciate all that the Hope Lodge does for our patients undergoing treatment. Since all patients staying there live more than 40 miles from Birmingham, the Hope Lodge supplies them with a room, transportation to treatment, and meals during their stay!

"What scares me about this disease is that there are so many men walking around feeling great and have that cancer in them and they don't know it," Mourning told ESPN. "The only way to find out is to get their blood tested and get their PSA checked. There are 3.3 million men living in the U.S. with prostate cancer, and many don't even know it. I was one of those guys." Alonzo Mourning, the 7-time NBA All-Star and NBA Champion spoke to ESPN about his recent prostate removal and the importance of early detection through PSA screenings.
