This year, I have the honor of serving as Co-Chair of the Reinsurance Under Under 40s Charity Committee with Mike Ramsey. On Friday October 18th, I will be giving up my bed and sleeping outside with the Reinsurance Under 40s Team as we participate in the Covenant House (Re)Insurance Industry Sleepout in Newark, New Jersey. 4.2 million young people will experience homelessness this year in the U.S. alone. Covenant House is open 24/7, 365 days a year and provides shelter and support to youth facing homelessness. In addition to providing a safe place to sleep, Covenant House provides essential services like education, job training, legal aide, medical care, and mental health and substance use counseling. Since 1972, Covenant House has helped over 1.5 million young people and more than 2,200 young people sleep under a Covenant House roof each night.
