We're thrilled to share these highlights from the Kidney Community Health Equity (KCHE) Summit held on September 28th in National Harbor, MD. After months of collaborative discussions, members of the KCHE Workgroup unveiled the KCHE Framework, a public resource aimed at addressing health equity in kidney disease through community partnership and collaboration, cultural competence, education and awareness, and holistic care coordination. Crafted through in-depth conversations among a diverse group of professionals across organizations, disciplines, and backgrounds within the kidney care community, the framework is designed to foster a unified approach and provide best practices for addressing health inequities within kidney care. Thank you to everyone involved in this transformative work – and for your commitment to asking questions, learning from the answers, and treating each individual with the care and dignity they deserve.

Kidney Care Health Equity Framework. I am proud to present the Kidney Care Health Equity framework, the result of nine months of collaboration among stakeholders across twenty two organizations in the kidney community. This framework was developed considering the complexities of kidney disease including burden of treatment along the kidney disease journey from risk factors to end of life. The Kidney Care Health Equity (KCHE) framework is publically available to the kidney community. A big thank you to the panelists, moderators and engaging audience that made the inaugural summit an enriching experience for all. We look forward to our continued collaboration as a community to address health equity in kidney disease.
