Welcome home USSF Col. Nick Hague, from all your Guardian friends at SSC!
Welcome home, Col. Hague! NASA astronaut and U.S. Space Force Col. Nick Hague is helped out of a SpaceX Dragon spacecraft aboard the SpaceX recovery ship MV MEGAN after he and his #Crew9 crewmates landed in the water off the coast of Tallahassee, Fla., Tuesday. Hague returned to Earth following a six-month mission aboard the International Space Station. On Sept. 28, 2024, Hague became the first #Guardian to launch into space. While aboard the space station, Hague participated in over 200 scientific experiments, completed a six-hour spacewalk and remotely interacted with students worldwide, discussing space exploration and technology. #SemperSupra #SpaceForce Read more: 👇 https://lnkd.in/eNyYrDDW (NASA courtesy by Keegan Barber)

The #SpaceForce leads innovative small launch for the entire DoD! They not only leverage the commercial small launch industry base but also repurpose decommissioned ICBMs for selected small launches and targets! Both are important tools used by the #RocketStars at USSF’s Rocket Systems Launch Program managed by Space Systems Command’s Assured Access to Space.

Together we innovate. Air Force’s AFWERX & Space Force’s SpaceWERX selected 23 small businesses to apply for funding through a Program Year 2025 Strategic Funding Increase (STRATFI) annual notice of opportunity. What that means is those 23 companies (all who received Phase II contracts within the last two years) can now apply for more innovation funding to develop their prototypes toward full-scale production and operational deployment. STRATFI bridges innovation funding gaps and that helps everyone. 👇

ICYMI: Space acquisitions’ critical role in securing capabilities and advantages for our Nation, warfighters, partners and allies was the topic of multiple panels featuring U.S. Space Force’s Space Systems Command leaders at the Air & Space Force Association’s Warfare Symposium. The success of the Joint Force hinges on the capabilities USSF provides to outpace, outmaneuver, and outperform. #USSF #SpaceStartsHere #AFAColorado
