🔥 Oh yeah! We've got a whole crew of 'em!
Calling all Chicago founders! 🌟 Following the success of the Founder First Award in NYC, it's time to bring it to Chicago, and celebrate the investors who’ve made a real difference. Whether it’s through mentorship, valuable introductions, or just being a steady hand during tough times, these investors deserve recognition. Chicago has blossomed into a tech powerhouse, and it’s thanks to the incredible support of our investor community. If you have an investor who's gone above and beyond, let's give them the recognition they deserve. Nominations close on August 30th. Don’t miss out! 👉 https://lnkd.in/exsB5MAa #ChicagoTech #FounderFirstAward #CelebrateInvestors #TechCommunity

Earlier this month, we hosted the V2:VC's annual SPRING event, our very own VC PROM, and it was an absolute hit! 🪩 Exclusively for members of the #Chicago chapter, we enjoyed fantastic conversations, met new members, and reconnected with old friends. Immersing everyone "Under the V-Sea," 🐠🫧 the evening brought back memories of our high school days with yearbook pics, throwback jams, and prom nostalgia. It was the perfect blend of what V2:VC aims to achieve: 1️⃣ Connect our community as people, not just professionals, within Chicago's vibrant venture investing scene. 2️⃣ Spark creativity, inspiration, and fun. 3️⃣ Bring members together in real life. A VERY special thank you to: 🌟 Our event sponsor: Standard Metrics 🌟 Media partners: Clover Media / Carter Clover [Video Credit] and MK Event Photo 🌟 Leadership team: Madelyn Rutter, Olivia Zdeb, Ellie Davis

Today, we released the latest Chicago:Blend Startup Diversity Report, which examines how opportunities to launch companies and raise #VC are distributed among historically underrepresented founders. We found that when compared to other cities, #Chicago has some of the highest rates of racial, ethnic, and gender representation among venture-backed founders, but the share of VC funding they are capturing is a different story. Check out today’s Crain's Chicago Business for more. Thank you to Robin Ficke and the team at World Business Chicago for collaborating on this report, as well as to CDW, whose financial support makes this work possible. 🤝 📑 Download the full report 👉🏽 https://lnkd.in/dwytHpkA 🗞 Read the Crain's write-up 👉🏽 https://lnkd.in/dwCYMSHj
