Jeff Jankowski, PT, DPT, and President of Valir Physical Therapy spoke with Oklahoma's Representative Tom Cole regarding Medicare reimbursement for Physical Therapists and the Medicare Physician Fee Schedule. "For years, we've been fast approaching a dangerous intersection of trends in physical therapy – where decreasing reimbursements meet rising student debt. In my current role as President of an outpatient PT group with 25 clinics across Oklahoma, we see the consequences of this daily and feel its full impact; and we are not alone. As a state and nation, we are seeing the impact of a decreased workforce in the field of physical therapy. The number of graduates from PT schools is not keeping pace with the number of colleagues leaving the field. I believe it is vital that physical therapists be included at the table where reimbursement decisions are made. That is why I am grateful for the opportunity to visit with Rep.
