  • With misinformation spreading faster than ever, let’s get one thing straight: The HPV vaccine prevents cancer. HPV is linked to over 90% of cervical cancers and multiple other cancers, including oropharyngeal, anal, vaginal, vulvar, and penile cancers. The HPV vaccine is a scientifically proven, life-saving tool that can prevent up to 90% of these cancers when given at the recommended age of 9. No one should have to fight a preventable cancer. No parent should have to watch their child battle a disease we can stop. Let’s focus on facts, not politics. Protect your child’s future—get them vaccinated. 🔗 Learn more from trusted sources: • American Cancer Society: cancer.org • St. Jude HPV Cancer Prevention: stjude.org • CDC: cdc.gov/hpv • • • • • • #HPVVaccine #CancerPrevention #VaccinesSaveLives #FactsNotPolitics #Vaccinesafety #EndHPVCancers

  • March is Women’s History Month! 💜 Meet Dr. Rebecca Lee Crumpler (1831–1895), the first Black woman in the U.S. to earn a medical degree. She initially worked as a nurse in Charlestown, Massachusetts, before being accepted into the New England Female Medical College in 1860. She later returned to Boston and wrote a medical guide for women and children, A Book of Medical Discourses (1883), making her one of the first Black medical authors in the U.S. Her resilience and contributions continue to inspire and shape the medical field today. Let’s honor her legacy and the impact of women in medicine! 👩🏾⚕️💉 • • • • • #WomensHistoryMonth #BlackHistory #HPVAwareness #WomenInMedicine #HealthEquity

  • Dr. David Bronner, CEO of the Retirement Systems of Alabama, urges Alabamians to prioritize both HPV vaccination and regular dental checkups to prevent oropharyngeal cancer. This form of throat cancer, most common in men, is caused by HPV in approximately 70% of cases. The HPV vaccine—recommended starting at age 9—provides critical protection against the virus before exposure occurs. Additionally, routine dental visits play a key role in detecting early signs of oropharyngeal cancer. Prevention and early detection save lives—schedule your child’s HPV vaccination and dental checkup today! • • • • #HPVVaccine #OropharyngealCancer #PreventCancer #HPVAwareness #OralHealth #hpv

  • Dr. Nubia Muñoz changed the game in cancer prevention! Her groundbreaking research proved that HPV is the central and necessary cause of cervical cancer and a major factor in other cancers, like oropharyngeal cancer. In 1993, she organized the first-ever meeting on HPV vaccines, laying the foundation for lifesaving prevention efforts. Her discoveries made it possible to focus on prevention, leading to the development and global implementation of highly effective HPV vaccines—even in the most affected regions. Her work has been a true catalyst in the fight against HPV-related cancers, giving us the power to save countless lives. • • • • #HPVResearch #GameChanger #PreventCancer #HPVVaccine #ScienceSavesLives

  • As we celebrate Women’s History Month, we owe thanks to Mary Papanicolaou for over two decades of dedicated swabbing and sampling. She and her pathologist husband, George, developed the cervical cancer screening method we know today as the Papanicolaou or Pap test. The significant drop in cervical cancer is largely due to the pap smear, which women do yearly. The test has undoubtedly saved millions and millions of lives and is truly extraordinary! It took twenty years to convince skeptics the test worked. In 1954, it was named the Pap test. George was nominated for the Nobel Prize, but Mary wasn’t recognized until later in life by the American Cancer Society. • • • • #hpveducation #hpvvaccineeducation #hpv
