Julie has worked at VECA for 10 months as the Office Manager at our Boise, ID location. “My favorite part of the job is the variety and numerous opportunities. I enjoy helping others while learning all aspects of construction. After being married to an electrician for over 26 yrs and hearing the stories, I figured why not take the plunge and learn what makes these guys/gals tick. I discovered how much the team really likes to say, “I built that” when driving around town.” A fun fact about Julie is that she taught her new puppy 10-15 basic commands in German. Now when a cop show is on TV and the officer says Seitz, Tucker will sit - such a good boy! 😊 Thank you, Julie, for making VECA a great place to work! Each month, employees are nominated for recognition in our Employee Spotlight feature. As part of our VECA Value ‘Empowering Each Other to Succeed’, we acknowledge the contributions and individual strengths of our team members. #waconstruction #BoiseID #construction #veca #electricians #vecaelectric #vecatech #AEC

VECA is a design, install, & service contractor specializing in electrical & technology markets.
About us
As American troops returned from World War II, several of those veterans decided to start an electrical contracting company. Calling themselves Veterans Electrical Contractors Association, they became a major contender in the Seattle electrical construction market. Their idea was to build a business founded in quality, driven by offering value, and anchored by trust. In 1989 Thomas Fairbanks purchased the company, adding his own unique values. VECA Electric Company Inc. continues to be an industry leader in the Northwest Commercial Electrical & Technology market. Far from its humble beginnings, today VECA Electric is one of the largest contractors in the Northwest. For over 70 years, VECA has consistently provided the highest quality design, installation, and service. Through the ebb and flow of markets we remain steady, dependable and stronger with each year. Our strength lies in the quality of our people. We believe that by creating a culture of abundance, we attract and retain the best people in the industry– from the craftsmen in the field to the President of the company. Our goal at VECA is simply to serve the customer. Experience has taught us that providing the highest quality installation and a customer based management system creates the kind of long term relationships that allow all members of the construction team to be successful regardless of the short term market trends.

Spotlight on VECA and Habitat for Humanity in Whatcom County! Penny, Service & Special Projects Electrical Forman, has been an integral part of the VECA team for over 5 years, and her contributions to our community are truly impactful. Recently she and Ellie Peña (3rd year Apprentice) have been working alongside Kulshan Community Land Trust and Habitat for Humanity Whatcom County to wire four new Townhomes. This is just the beginning, with plans to add 40 more units at this Bellingham site and additional affordable housing opportunities in Sumas, Custer, and Everson. Penny’s dedication goes beyond the job site—she’s committed to mentoring the next generation of electricians, guiding Ellie and working closely with local volunteers. With 12 units already completed and many more on the way, we’re incredibly proud of the work they are doing to help build a stronger, more connected community! #TeamVECA #CommunityImpact #AffordableHousing #Mentorship #HabitatForHumanity
