Hit by a police motorcycle in London, Mills suffered serious injuries, including a leg amputation. Initially a meat-eater, she switched to a vegan diet after a friend suggested it might aid her healing. Within ten days, she noticed significant improvements in her health.     🌱 A survey of 5,931 participants in Veganuary 2024 revealed that 27% of respondents had gone fully vegan six months after the challenge, while 37% had reduced their consumption of animal products by more than three-quarters. In total, 81% had cut their animal product intake by at least half. The survey also found that 95% of participants credited Veganuary with helping them make better dietary choices, and 65% reported health improvements, particularly in energy levels and mood. Many participants found going vegan easier than expected, with more than half likely to try veganism again.
