Annual Mass to honor healthcare professionals You're invited to attend the White Mass for all physicians, nurses, medical professionals, and their families at 10:00 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 27, at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. Bishop Carl A. Kemme will be the celebrant. The White Mass is named in honor of the color that healthcare providers traditionally wore, and some still wear today, while providing compassionate care to our patients. This special Mass is a wonderful opportunity for all who work in healthcare to come together and ask for God's blessing in this healing ministry. The White Mass is being hosted by the Catholic Diocese of Wichita and Ascension Via Christi. We look forward to praying with you. 10:00 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 27, 2024 Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception 430 N Broadway St, Wichita, KS 67202

Via Christi was honored, Tuesday, to be the presenting sponsor at the 2024 Wave of Light hosted by Bridget's Cradles. Hundreds gathered at Beech Lake in Wichita for a community candlelight vigil and water lantern release in memory of their babies. It took place amongst a backdrop of light displays featuring over 50,000 pink, blue, and white lights. At Via Christi, we are rooted in the loving ministry of Jesus as healer. We are proud of our award winning teams at St Joseph who deliver care to mothers and babies at a most vulnerable time. Thank you to Bridget’s Cradles and its founder Ashley Opliger for the work you do in supporting families in our community and across the country. Our own Scott Evans was able to be the emcee for the evening. #WichitaWaveofLight #BridgetsCradles #WaveofLight

Investing in our mission, our patients and our staff - Via Christi St. Francis has acquired a leading-edge X-ray technology that significantly enhances our diagnostic and interventional capabilities, allowing us to provide even better care to our patients. Doctors use the ARTIS icono biplane during complicated medical procedures. It’s especially helpful for treating strokes and other problems with blood vessels in the brain or body. This machine simultaneously takes pictures from two different angles, giving doctors a clearer view of blood vessels and the areas around them, which is important for procedures like heart tests. Here are a few other reasons why this system is so amazing: Improved Image Quality: Sharper, high-contrast images for more precise diagnoses. Increased Patient Safety: Up to 60% less radiation exposure for our patients compared to conventional systems. Enhanced Flexibility: Head-to-toe coverage and adaptability for a wide range of procedures. Increased Efficiency: Faster procedures and quicker turnaround times, leading to better patient outcomes. This high-tech equipment helps our doctors give the best care to our patients by improving how accurately they can diagnose problems, leading to better results. This second machine allows us to simultaneously handle complicated cases that come to our stroke and trauma centers. This investment reflects our ongoing commitment to provide Wichita and surrounding communities the highest quality patient care through advanced medical imaging. #ViaChristi #Ascension #HealthCare #PatientSafety #HealthInnovation

Exciting news from Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan! Today, we celebrated the groundbreaking of the Childcare Business Initiative (CBI), a project that will make a real difference for families and entrepreneurs in our region. We're proud to have provided the land for this innovative facility, which will make available much-needed childcare services and empower local providers to launch successful businesses. This project was made possible through great partners at the Greater Manhattan Community Foundation, the Manhattan Area Chamber Of Commerce and by a $2.35 million grant from the Kansas Children’s Cabinet Child Care Capacity Accelerator grant program. This initiative is a critical step in addressing the childcare shortage in Manhattan and supporting our community’s economic growth. Here's to building a brighter future for families and businesses alike! Thank you to Kansas Senator Jerry Moran for taking the time to support this cause and for posing for a picture with Bob Copple, president of Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan. #CommunityFirst #ChildcareBusiness #EconomicGrowth #ViaChristiManhattan
