A few weeks ago, we celebrated the grand opening of our expanded facilities in Syracuse, New York! Check out this time-lapse to watch the construction progress and see the impressive final result. This expansion has increased our Syracuse footprint by nearly 45%, adding more office space, manufacturing, warehouse, storage, shipping, and receiving areas. With the larger facility, we have more cryocooler testing capacity and are able to double throughput. In an exciting development, it also enables Bluefors to begin manufacturing dilution refrigerators for the first time in the US. It’s a pivotal step for growing Bluefors’ U.S. operations and supporting the future of quantum technology. As County Executive Ryan McMahon put it: "Bluefors' expansion in Onondaga County is a significant investment for our community. The Syracuse facility is home to 180 talented employees who are at the forefront of innovations in cryogenics. The expansion of our Syracuse facilities is well under way! Facility expansion in Syracuse, New York, where we produce the industry-leading Cryomech Cryocoolers, is progressing rapidly and is on track for completion this fall. This expansion will increase the floor space by nearly 45 %, providing additional office, warehouse, storage, shipping, and receiving areas. It will significantly boost our testing capacity and increase our facility's current throughput. Overall the expansion provides ample room for the future growth of our operations in Syracuse. With this growth, we are able make it even easier for the scientists and companies to reach low temperatures, whether they are working in quantum technology, fundamental physics research, medical and life sciences, or clean energy. Last Tuesday, we held our inaugural Day of Purpose, serving six different organizations in our community! Led by our Inclusive Leadership Employee Resource Group, the Day of Purpose is an initiative dedicated to reflecting on our company’s core values and mission of “Finding a better way for one another, for our communities, and for the planet.” Over the course of the day, 50 team members engaged in various activities with A TINY HOME FOR GOOD, Meals on Wheels of Syracuse, The Samaritan Center, CNY SPCA, ACR Health, and A MILLION THANKS.
