So much compassionate relief work being done throughout Hurricane Helene’s wake, but I wanted to highlight two of our Virginia Tech Defense Civilian Training Corps (DCTC) scholars, Rahil R. Ross (‘26) and Cameron Alemand (‘25). The United States Department of Defense has awarded $46.8 million in grants to 19 university-based faculty teams under its Minerva Research Initiative, including a $2 million grant a team led by Anamaria Bukvic, assistant professor in the Department of Geography in the Virginia Tech College of Natural Resources and Environment, and including Peter Beling, director of the Virginia Tech National Security Institute's Intelligent Systems Division. https://lnkd.in/ej478vXN
