In the magnificent setting of the Croatian National Theatre, a special performance of the enchanting ballet The Nutcracker took place, with a humanitarian purpose. Vogue Adria and the Croatian National Theatre brought together guests from various spheres of social life, as well as art enthusiasts, for a truly special night that combined art, unity, and a spirit of giving, reminding us of the importance of supporting young talents who will one day shine on the grand stage. 

The ninth issue of Vogue Adria celebrates December, a month wrapped in the shimmering magic of the holidays, embracing its visible and hidden hues, radiant smiles, opulence, and a profound sense of togetherness. It gently reminds us that beauty lies in imperfections and in the emotions we carry, no matter where life takes us. In a special Christmas feature, seven successful and self-assured women step into roles crafted just for them, sharing their unique tales of Christmas Eve. The region’s leading voices reflect on the passing year through heartfelt letters, while others share their predictions for the year ahead. To crown it all, the iconic Zdenka Kovačiček offers her 80 timeless life lessons—precious wisdom to cherish and remember.

This holiday season, Zagreb once again shines in the spirit of Advent, and nothing glows brighter than The Nutcracker. Vogue Adria and Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb invite you on December 11 to a special performance in support of the future of Croatian ballet. A part of the proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to two ballet schools - the School of Classical Ballet in Zagreb and the Silvije Hercigonja School of Artistic Dance in Zagreb - with the goal of preserving ballet as an invaluable cultural treasure and nurturing the dreams and futures of young dancers. The eighth issue of Vogue Adria comes with the message 'Let’s Love Each Other' and is dedicated to the power of music, unity, and Lepa Brena—a musical phenomenon that transcends time and borders. #LepaBrena, whose music is enjoyed across generations and countries, is the star of our November cover and feature. Luna Lu writes about the subversive nature of Yugoslav camp; Selma Selman explores the inseparable link between Roma music, culture, and migration; and, reflecting on creativity and art that transcend boundaries, we spoke with young regional creatives in the fashion industry working in London, as well as Bosnian actress Selma Alispahić.

Nora Turato spoke with Katalin Ladik about the potential of performance art, Tamara Kalinić interviewed The Gstaad Guy about the world of influencers, and Jelena Djoković discussed the importance of focusing on early childhood development with Gordon Neufeld.
