📢 Volunteer support is no longer a ‘nice-to-have’, it’s a necessity. As NHS services continue to face increasing demand, volunteers are stepping up to provide essential non-clinical support, from assisting with hospital discharge to offering telephone companionship to isolated patients. 💡 42% of people receiving Check In and Chat calls say they visit their GP less often. 💡 Hospitals using volunteer-led Pick Up and Deliver services are seeing discharges happen up to three hours earlier.
