✌️Bye Bye Baby Biometrics is a coalition calling to end fear-based marketing in baby tech that exploits parental anxiety to sell products, founded by VSC Partner and Co-founder of Harbor, Kevin Lavelle. Join the movement: https://lnkd.in/gTjk-AnF
Parents deserve peace, not panic, which is why we’ve launched a coalition: Bye Bye Baby Biometrics. We invite all parents, doctors, nurses, sleep specialists and industry leaders to call on the baby tech industry to do better and sign our petition. Companies marketing these unproven devices are preying on parents’ emotions at their most vulnerable moments. These products are not backed by science, and they mislead parents into believing they are necessary for their baby’s safety. Even the American Academy of Pediatrics advises against these devices. Nanit, Owlet, and others put their required disclaimers in fine print, as required by law, but continue to promote their products as “providing the ultimate peace of mind.” These products drive fear and anxiety and, as their disclaimers acknowledge, cannot be relied upon for any medical diagnosis of any kind. Parents and kids deserve better. Sign the petition at byebyebabybiometrics.com #byebyebabybiometrics

Since the dawn of man, two constants have existed: Our desire to know what is out there in space, and our need to communicate meaning through stories. One of our own, Rick Liebling, provides his thoughts on how #spaceindustry brands can leverage storytelling to drive business and build mindshare.
Vice President at VSC, helping tech startups raise funds, earn media coverage, and build industry-defining brands.
The space industry is in the spotlight with multiple launches, Prada space suits, and rockets being caught for reuse. It's a hot time for the industry. Recently, Kevin O'Connell and Kelli Kedis Ogborn shared their thoughts on how organizations and countries can get in the game. To build on that piece, I wrote about the importance of PR and storytelling in this equation. Thanks to Daniel Robitzski and SpaceNews for giving me an opportunity to share my thoughts. https://lnkd.in/gehkcfbC
