We recently stumbled across some great photos of the Los Angeles Chargers’ new headquarters and training facility in El Segundo, CA. They happen to showcase the stainless steel patch fittings and cable support assemblies we manufactured and supplied for the 50-foot x 60-foot entry wall (see photo 4 especially)! We loved collaborating with Gensler (Gensler Sports), and W&W Glass to bring this vision of strength and elegance to life. Every project presents different challenges, and here, we coordinated the location for all the cable end fittings to align with site surveys of the head steel and sill plates, ensuring accuracy at every step. TriPyramid Structures’ structural tension assemblies can enhance any space, be it a sports training facility, office complex, or even a stadium. So hey, New England Patriots, maybe it’s time to team up for a project. Flashback Friday: The Microsoft Store installation on 5th Ave NYC. Together with Gensler, this project was the first to use 130" SentryGlas (Trosifol & SentryGlas) in 2015 which expanded the size of the glass enough to eliminate unwanted butt seams. These ultra flat, high-quality laminates scaled up to 120" x 246" at the largest size and the three-ply laminates came to an impressive 1 1/2" thick and weighed in at 3800 lbs. Yesterday, our team celebrated the ribbon cutting of Armani’s flagship store in New York, attending the unveiling of the new retail and restaurant located on the first floor of the COOKFOX-designed Giorgio Armani Residences at 760 Madison Avenue. Inspired by the historic context of the Upper East Side, the building is attuned to the craft and materiality of Madison Avenue’s luxury character and to Mr. Armani’s legacy approach to modern, refined design. At street level, the façade harmonizes with the materials, rhythms, and patterns of the historic Upper East Side and forms a new modern landmark, while the entirety of the building was designed with a focus on natural materiality, health, and wellness. Designed in partnership with SL Green Realty Corp. and Giorgio Armani.

We are playing a key role in the construction of the 1393 York Avenue located in the Manhattan’s Upper East Side, a new residence for medical students, where we are crafting a wide range of façade types, one of which will feature a complex matrix of terracotta tiles. Terracotta tiles – what are they? Terracotta tiles are specialized architectural components crafter from clay. In the specific of the 1393’s facades, they will be cut and assembled into the frames in a set order, to add a distinct charm to the building’s appearance. We took this attention to detail even further, in order to meet the architect’s precise requirements for joints alignment, by minimizing assembly tolerance, and implementing a systematic control system to monitor the exact position of each tile, ensuring the highest degree of flawlessness throughout the entire façade.   Achieving this type of aesthetic requires a rigorous process. Each terracotta tile undergoes through careful cutting, sorting, inspection, and assembly.
