It’s a new school year — and a new world of cellphone rules at Robinson Secondary, a public middle and high school in Fairfax County. The school is part of a pilot program testing out tougher restrictions on student cellphone use during the school day.

One of the most important things a brand can do when it's starting out... as it's looking to scale... as it seeks to become a legacy brand... is to build trust with its audience. The best brands know how to listen, build relationships and establish trust. Within organizations, #marketers #CMOs #marketing are on the front lines of that [hard] work. That's why I wanted to share this recent 1A (WAMU 88.5) episode; the participants share some really great insights and expertise for how to build trust, get it back when it's lost and address the current crisis. https://lnkd.in/dMFDXTYd

Exciting things are coming to WAMU! Meredith Garretson, one of the stars of SYFY Network's Resident Alien (which has recently been renewed for a fourth season), stopped by to chat with Esther Ciammachilli about growing up in the DMV, her time at James Madison University, and her role on the show. But good things come to those who wait -- we're looking forward to sharing the interview with the release of the new season!

It’s always super fun to be able to share on a national platform like NPR about Millennial Bipartisanship and young people are getting active in politics. Thank you to WAMU 88.5 1A show for having me and Future Caucus (formerly Millennial Action Project) for the opportunity!
“And you can’t have hard conversations with people if you don’t start by building a relationship with them.” Take a listen to Representative Honorable Ajay Pittman on NPR’s 1A radio show with host Jenn White, discussing why it’s important to engage with people who don’t agree with you, and how Future Caucus creates a collaborative, bipartisan environment.

Alexandria residents gathered last Thursday to mark the 125th anniversary of the lynching of Benjamin Thomas, a Black teenager killed by a white mob in 1899 after his seven-year-old neighbor falsely claimed he had attempted to assault her. The event also aimed to educate residents about Alexandria’s history of racism and its current impact on the city: https://lnkd.in/eqEFZ2CJ
