WSSHE Puget Sound Chapter invites you to join this upcoming virtual education session - "Air Management in the Healthcare Facility: What Does a Program Look Like?". Air Management in the Healthcare Facility is often looked at as a non-critical and/or lesser important component of building and patient health. Consequently, less than optimal IAQ (Indoor Air Quality) could result in undesired health outcomes when ventilations system(s) are ignored or ill-maintained. To reduce risk and protect our healthcare customer a firm understanding of the relationship between building ventilation systems and human host is paramount, with the need to deliver value-based quality healthcare / optimize the patient experience ever present. This learning session is geared towards the Healthcare Air Controlled Environment and the Air Management Program that supports its function. Pressure relationships, surveillance methods, and ventilation system preventive maintenance will be discussed, as will the response to HVAC concerns and partnerships that are needed for investigation of clinical nature. Speakers will also introduce what it takes to develop an Air Management Program, program roles and responsibilities, facets of the program, and key lessons learned early in the program development phase. This year we are again honored as a Platinum Level Chapter at the American Society for Health Care Engineering (ASHE) Health Care Facilities Innovation Conference! WSSHE rocks because our members rock! Last year, WSSHE University provided hands-on training at no cost to more than 200 healthcare engineering professionals at their facilities.
