Washington Trust is proud to announce its commitment of up to $1 million to the Equitable Access to Credit Program offered by the Washington State Department of Commerce. The program seeks to boost community and economic development in the state by fostering investment in small, rural, and underserved areas through an increase of traditional financing to businesses and individuals who have historically lacked it. The program disburses contributed funds in the form of grants to qualified lending institutions. These lenders then award grants within their markets. #EconomicDevelopment #CommunityInvestment #SupportSmallBusiness https://lnkd.in/gNVnazDG?

Sometimes, we could all use something to brighten our days. That’s why we have #RandomActsofAwesome. Could be a thank you basket for first responders. Could be a free espresso drink for everyone in line. This time it was team members out across the Washington Trust footprint distributing gift cards for use at local minority-owned businesses. We’re passionate about providing the best for the communities we serve, and even a small, random gesture can go a long way.
