*Re-viv-al* // an instance of something becoming active/important again. Getting to put female founders in the spotlight is ALWAYS important - gathering female founders together to lift one another up and support each other is ALWAYS needed - and showing up as your authentic self, with your highs and lows, ups and downs, is how we ALWAYS grow and build one another up in a society that constantly tries to pit us against one another (but we are on to them, sorry kids, the female founders united is kind of here to stay 😘 ). We are *so excited* What She Said Inc is partnering on this show-stopping, can't miss event for Denver Startup Week. 🗣️ Women founders and allies, the iconic Women Who Startup Rally is back and better than ever! 🔗 Get your tickets for this Denver Startup Week event and support Girls Inc. of Metro Denver: https://lnkd.in/gv4JR_9x We’re bringing you an all-star lineup of panelists to celebrate the resilience and innovation of our community 🤩 Presented by Dell For Startups in partnership with What She Said Inc, TARRA, LLC, Colorado Women's Chamber of Commerce, Knolly and Founder Shield. Special shout out to the DREAM team: Kate Bailey, MBA, Simone D. Ross, MBA, MA, Lizelle van Vuuren, Emily Salberg + the amazing TARRA, LLC team, Hilliary Grace + Rae-Claire Embree - this is THE community event you want to be at, see you there! ✨ #WomenWhoStartup #WomenWhoStartupRally #DenverStartupWeek #DSW2024 #DenverStartupWeek2024

Watching the What She Said Inc real life feedback and referral magic pour in like 🤩 It's still a *pinch me* moment when we hear a referral worked like a charm, when we hear a business say they're getting new clients from us, when the babes get what we're building INSTANTLY and say it w/ their chest, when we hear a community member say the IRL event we threw gave them the courage to go after a dream. It's working, and we always knew it would. Our lil baby is crawling, won't be long till she's walking, and then look out / put the baby proofing up / cause she'll be causing all sorts of good trouble ✨

We’ve been in Beta testing now for well over a month and GOODNESS is it getting us even more excited to keep pushing forward with our community. We started with a small batch of 30 testers - all humans that we knew on some capacity - who we asked to be super honest with their feedback. And they were just that, honest. They let us know what worked with the user flow and what didn’t. They let us know what features made sense and which ones needed to be refined. They let us know the questions that came up as they navigated the platform. And the biggest thing? They let us know how much they loved it. Like, realllllllly loved it. *yup, getting teary typing this* Relinquishing your baby to the hands of others is so nerve-racking. Even if you feel supported, even if people tell you it’s an amazing idea, even if even if…there’s always a small fear that the reality is different then what you are imagining. But those first 30 got it. They sat with the platform, they gave her time and energy. And then we sent her out to over 300 community members - and what do you know, a lot less feedback, a lot more "when will this be in the app store?" and "can I share it with my girlfriends yet?" and "I uploaded all my referrals on there!" *WHEW* So thank you to all the testers - but really to our whole community who has been along with us from day 1 and who now see where all the hard work is going - and truly appreciate the platform in all her glory.

The last month, I had the pleasure of sitting on multiple panels alongside some incredible humans. Every time I am asked to participate in one of these, I truly feel honored and a little surprised if I am being completely honest. I've been talking on panels for over ten years now and sometimes I wonder if I still have anything useful to say to the audience. Will my story resonate? Will I say something profound? Will people leave the conversation glad they had come? I know I can't control the outcome, but I do hope everyone who sits me with does feel one of the above at the end of our time together. I am lucky to sit in cohorts of other entrepreneurs who are working to build a better future and rooms full of women and non-binary founders who are collaborating to configure (non-broken) systems that actually cater to their needs + growth. It's also amazing to see how the conversations in panels have changed - for Boulder Startup Week, I sat with other Techstars founders to discuss mental health and how to take care of yourself while building your business. At TARRA, LLC I sat with two other powerhouse female founders and talked to women about why we are building for the feminine economy and the importance of supporting other women around you. These topics weren't talked about 10 years ago, but today they are at the forefront of conversations in my circles and I am grateful to be a part of it all. If you have ever come to hear me on a panel, thank you - and if you want to come hear more open conversations from some amazing powerhouses in the Denver community - please join me and the What She Said Inc team on Wednesday, June 26th for our Loose Lips Panel discussion on Bridging Communities. Tickets available here https://lu.ma/a5h0b8i8 - hope to see you there ⚡ John Hill Marcella Hall Luke Siegert Kate Bailey, MBA Stephanie LaFlora (Sinish)

It’s been a couple weeks since Bryn Carter & I hosted the What She Said Inc KC Visionaries Dinner, and we still haven’t come down from the vibes. This IRL event gathers community builders + thought leaders to sit at the same table and share visions for their communities and beyond.⚡️ *full transparency* We had already hosted these events in Denver & ATX, and I was nervous about pulling off the same magic in KC. Not b/c the community isn’t amazing or fully supportive of female-lead biz… but b/c at the time, it was just me here on the What She Said team in KC, and I didn’t feel like enough. Isn’t that the magic killer? That ‘enough-ness’. Enter -> community + collaboration. I sat down for a chat with the co-founders of HERA Community (Ellie Berland + Rylie Beck), and they were absolutely my hype women, convincing me that we could pull off magic here in KC too, and not just alone, but with them. And just like that, event collab beauty got rollin! Then entered, Angela Kennedy. From the moment I met her I knew she was a powerhouse. But she was more than that, she lead w her heart and so much damn authenticity you wanted to put her in your pocket when you needed a realness check. After more convos, I somehow convinced Angela to join WSS as our KC Hype Bestie, and added the super connector powers of Rachel Green and my confidence in hosting IRL events in KC sky rocketed. B/c that’s the beauty of collaboration, that’s the power of community. And we saw that tenfold at the Visionaries Dinner, which has shown us what we always knew... women show up for one another, time and time again - IRL or, soon on the What She Said platform - the relationships will continue to thrive because of these incredible humans. Thank you for showing up KC, we can’t wait to grow w/ you ❤️🔥 #WhatSheSaidInc #KansasCity #WomenEntrepreneurs #Community

Yes, we're building an online referral platform (that is going to rock your 🌎), but hey, that's just one piece of this puzzle. We're building something even more impactful than the tech: C-O-M-M-U-N-I-T-Y 👏 That's why we're hosting IRL experiences, activations, and gatherings where our community can meet, netWERK, and hype each other up. Slide through to meet our IRL happenings! Currently, we're launching in ATX, Denver, and KC. Let us know where we should launch next. 😉 #Referral #Community #NetworkIsYourNetworth

Whew. The team and I headed to ATX to tackle #SXSW - I was there a total of 48 hours, and my GOODNESS did we rock n' roll: We hosted our very first 🍒 ATX Visionaries Dinner 🍒 in collaboration with the most stellar humans: The Commune, ATX Supper Club, TULA Life Balanced , Mom Juice + KT Winery, Rosaluna Mezcal, Blue Goo Bakery, Delight’ful Blooms, LINK x LOU, + Ellen Rozman. Sponsored the Female Founders Brunch with the lovely folks at the Midwest House. Participated in the Cherub pop-up (where we walked in to hear Jaclyn Johnson talking about What She Said Inc to a group of humans and man, had one of those *pinch us* moments). On top of all of this magic, we met so many wonderful people who really saw what we are working to build and are excited to be a part of it all. It was amazing to get to hear the team talk so passionately about WSS and to spend time around these incredible people who I feel lucky to call our fam bam. If I can be vulnerable for a minute, it was also the first time I left my 6 month old overnight and, I had a few good tearful moments but, this is what the reality looks like as I work to nurture my two babies. Both of them make me who I am, being a mother and being a founder are the two different sides of the same coin, and it's challenging but ever so rewarding to navigate making sure both get the love and support they deserve. ATX, I absolutely love y'all, WSS will be back real soon ❤️

Did we mention that the WSS team has grown in the past few months...??? We don't think so, so here's a very overdue introduction of our inspiring, powerful team of baddies ❤️🔥 Michael Johnstone, Fractional CTO Brain: Just *gets it* and is helping us make the product of our dreams. Sarah Catherine Baker, Community Relations Unicorn: Consistently slaying (👏) all-things community with her spark for people. Alexia Barreiro, Brand + Design Genius: Crafting up our stunning WSS branding *if we do say so ourselves.* Ingrid Garcia, Social Media Strategist & Content Queen: Making the HYPE energy palpable through our social presence with her writing chops and creative concepts. Marianne Moses, Denver Hype Bestie: Creating out-of-the-box experiences for us in ways we never thought possible. Renee Wright, Intentional Partnerships Curator: Closing deals with brands to create the best experience for our WSS community. #WhatSheSaidInc #Community #Networking
